Whats the longest in advance you've ever know a wedding planned?

A friend asked me to be best man, and simultaneously told me the wedding was set for November 2018. I've never know a wedding 2 and a half years in advance before

3.5 years is the longeat engagement i have seen.

Bothe werw in med school got engaged in second year. Waited till they were done with school and residency.
