This isn't much of and "advice" post, I guess it's more of a flatout help me out or tips on where I can succed on my quest.
As a kid, I used to watch cartoons, and i'm rewatching them now, but my memory is failing me on episodes and shows. Do any of you guys remember some show where two kids(boys, probably), go to a walk, stumble upon a grass maze and in the end of the maze there's a house. In this house, lives a clown or a joker or something, and he messes with the boys minds or some shit.
Can anybody help me? At first I thought it was Little Bear, but it doesn't look so.

Can't think of any animated catroons, but that's a spot-on description of a comic called The Children's Crusade. Maybe look for adaptations of that, or things inspired by it?
