VR is a gimmick and a waste of money, so anything but the Vive.

VR is new technology at the moment. That means in three years you'll be able to get something twice as good for half the price, so it's pointless to buy it now.
From the other things on your list I'm guessing your budget will only get you one small gold coin. That's not very exciting, and because of things like broker fees and taxes you need quite a lrage amount of gold to sell it on for profit, so I wouldn't bother with that either.
A gun would be a solid bet. They're fun to use and quite handy to have around in the event that someone tries to murder you. Plus they hold their value really well, so you wouldn't have any trouble reselling it for the same money if you change your mind later.

No, it isn't. Some of us are old enough to remember the last time VR was being hyped as the next big thing. It was garbage when you paid ten bucks to look like a retard while playing Rise Of The Triads in a mall, it was garbage when Nintendo tried to sell us virtuaboy. Its garbage now. Smaller garbage, garbage less likely to make you vomit, but still garbage.

Gold is an impractical long term investment anyway. You're better off just hiding your cash under a mattress, at least you're guaranteed the value still holds, unless your country crumbles.... in that case you'd want that fucking gun.
