I've been told that guys look good in glasses from a few women, but I have never actually gotten that impression from anyone, leading me to believe that those women are lying to me (since I wear glasses and they probably don't want to hurt my feelings). Regardless, I have always received more positive attention when wearing glasses.

Typical consensus is that they are better without them, but this is one of the traits that are indirectly associated with intelligence, so girls that like "nerdy" guys will appreciate glasses more. Otherwise, contacts are better.
And shitty glasses are shitty glasses (eg marine BCGs, they don't call em that for nothing)
