Need some tips and advice on sustaining a healthy relationship when your partner lives in another country.
If you could be specific with your replies with things that have helped you.
To further elaborate we are engaged. He lives in the UK and I live in the US.
I don't know how often we should talk. When should we talk on skype, how many phone calls a week etc. I don't know where to draw the line between barely talking and asking for too much.

Hey op, I can give you some advice that could help you with this. I'm also in a international relationship with my girlfriend in Canada while I'm stuck in the US. During the first year or so we went out of our way to make sure we skyped each other every night but now as we are reaching into our third year together times have gotten busy for both us so I'd be lucky to hear her voice in a week. Take what you want from what I said. I hope I helped.

Text/video/talk daily, spend time with each other doing anything (watch videos online, play video games, etc), send each other gifts/food/letters, always communicate, communicate, communicate. Set deadlines/have an end date to the long distance in mind.
