My friend "Sanjay" his baby's-mama "Vanessa" and her new boyfriend "Asshat" had a bit of a fallout recently that is inspiring some rather deep seated anger in "Sanjay" that he wishes not to act upon, but would have no problem taking action if he so chooses to, this aside the point. Asshat threatened Sanjay with a hunting knife in front of Sanjay's son, when Sanjay had only attempted to have a conversation with Vanessa about their son. Sanjay has the upper hand and moral high ground, as he is approaching the situation thoughtfully and logically, and out of love for his son, and to create some form of arrangement to allow Sanjay to be the rightful father to his son. But Vanessa and her family had kept Asshat behind closed doors so far even to the point that Vanessa told Sanjay's son not to speak of Asshat with his father. Vanessa is someone who cannot see the logical and positive, constructive efforts Sanjay has tried to express through his actions as a father for the love of his son. Vanessa, like a stubborn child unfortunately has been uncooperative, chooses not to establish any coherent communication with Sanjay in regards to his son. Sanjay is in the process of taking legal action against Vanessa for the uncooperativeness, for inability to communicate, and for the type of enviornment Sanjay's son is being raised in with Vanessa and Asshat. Sanjay just want's to be able to see his son regularly with no problems, but Vanessa show's through a lack of effort and her inciteful, childish actions alongside Asshat threatening Sanjay with a knife, and his son in the front row seat.

What does a father have to do to make something like this work out, and to make it so there are no negative side effects? Sanjay is running out of patience, he has tried tirelessly to affirm his desires logically and in a non-threatening way to Vanessa is a coconut in a barrel of concrete.

What do? What do for father? How do go about?
