So I'm starting to go out more on my own, and I'm having more success meeting new people.
But I can't really keep contact with them, I have hard time calling/texting people regularly.
How do you do it?

Obviously you don't actually care enough about these new people, or else you'd make time for them.
You can just organize a really simple system where you allocate one hour a day calling/texting people, preferably new ones.

Nah I'm just really distant, I call my family less than 2 times a month, and I don't talk much online or on the phone with my friends.

Every time I try to text someone I end up finding a dumb excuse not to do it.
When I'm out I don't have problem being social, but when I come back home, my awkward self comes back and I feel everything I did or said was terrible and end up thinking it's better not to text them.
