everytime i find a new thing that i take in a bit of interest, i don't really pursue it any further cause i don't see any use. for example: i just came back from scotland and i think scotish history is a rather interesting topic, but what use would it be to know about all the battles and intrigues irl? i also can't really read any books anymore. i used to love to do so. now it just seems a waste of time. problem is, i then don't even do that productive stuff with all my "saved time". what's the matter with me? how do i get to that "immerse myself in new informations"-state again?

Why do things have to have a use? What is the "use" of reading books or playing sports or doing crossword puzzles or playing video games or coming to 4chan?
Have you never done anything just because it was fun?

That's the point. I can't do stuff "for fun" anymore. How can i relearn that?
