At what point should I see a doctor for a burn?
It's definitely at least mildly infected, but I don't want to wait at the hospital for 8 hours for someone to tell me to wash it in alcohol and slap a bandage on it.
I'll probably go to a walk in clinic tomorrow morning (they're closed here now) but until then I'm curious if someone here has knowledge or experience with burns and infections.

how did you burn yourself, also where, and finally, give us a photo dummy, how can we tell other wise?
If you have an infected burn, you should definitely get antibiotics.

If you get even a remote fever you should head to the E.R.
Burns are more likely to become septic an lead to septic shock. But usually heal fine themself.

No fever. Just pain and throbbing at the site.

yeah that might be a little infected, but all any doctor or er is going to do is put you on antibiotics so you might as well just get them yourself. You can get them over the counter, usually as a cream.

Pour some alcohol all over that shit and then keep it clean and dry. I would be extremely surprised if that turned bad, and you will be able to tell if it does.
It should just dry.
