How should I go about doing research on the US presidential candidates? They all seem awful. Should I just give up since a single vote is worthless.

Honestly if you haven't taken college courses on economics and history it's pretty hard to pick the right candidate.

Most people resort to researching very basic "social issues" and voting based off of that. Unfortunately social issues are usually bullshit and are pretty biased depending on where your getting the info.

I'm voting for Trump, because I want lower taxes, less war, localized education, more competition in health care, and somebody who understands free trade.

I considered Bernie since he seems the least corrupt but he doesn't seem to understand how capitalism works
Is there something to specifically look for other than "social issues" anywhere to go for unbiased information?

They ARE all awful, all politicians are, the state is an institutionalized mafia.

That being said, vote for the one that at least doesn't want to make the government bigger or rise taxes. Taxation = theft.
If you get a socialist like Bernie Sanders on the white house, you better get ready to see your economy go down the toilet as well as your freedom and constitutional rights.

It's baffling to see americans flirting with big government and socialism, have you never heard about South America? Our countries were devastated by socialism, look at Venezuela, people are literal slaves to the ruling political socialist elite, it should be the richest country here in SA right now but the economic devastation caused by Chavez has made the country become very poor and unstable, not to mention they have absolutely no rights, government does whatever it wants, people can't fight back the opression because they have no guns, disarming the people is one of the most important goals of socialists, rendering the people completely vulnerable to the power of the state and the will of it's bureaucrats.
Given the chance, people like Obama and Sanders would do exactly the same to the US.

Probably just read their positions on their website and also watch their unedited rallies on YouTube.

I kept hearing tons of hype about Bernie, so I watched one of his rallies and a couple interviews on YouTube. I was surprised how ridiculous it was. Dude definitely doesn't understand capitalism, and his personal life shows it.

I don't really know about unbiased sources. I guess watching the candidates unedited material is as unbiased as it gets?

American here.

Totally agreed. I actually get anxiety when I see how many people support Bernie's "democratic socialism". Just creeps me out. I don't know what they think they're going to get out of it, it's not going to bring wealth or happiness into America.

I'm honestly thinking of voting trump. He seems unstable but some of his policies actually seem more appealing than bernies. But I'm not done researching anyway so it's hard to tell.

And fuck Hillary.

Trump reminds me a lot of Theodoore Roosevelt. I really believe that everybody (including the left) would love Trump after two years of having him in office. I think he will create the environment for private businesses to take off again like they used to.

Only thing that I think is silly is the "wall". I agree with getting serious about deporting illegal immigrants, but most drug cartels come in through tunnels and air planes. I just can't imagine a wall on the southern border.
