about a year in, when we were living together, i found out he cheated on me (shared nudes and skyped with other people) for the first 6months while it was a LDR (we saw each other a week out of each month). it really shattered the trust and i started to resent him. i tried to talk about the cheating and each time he'd cry, sometimes he'd hurt himself. and it was really hard having to console HIM when i'd come to him to talk about how i felt hurt and betrayed and I needed a hug. the resentment really soured the relationship and we just communicated really ineffectively about how we felt. we still love each other a lot and i think with some work we could have fixed it, but neither of us were ready to be in a relationship. we've talked about trying again in a year or so
