Should I go to graduate school? I have a decent chance of it being paid for by uni, and I like the research I'm doing as an undergraduate and want to continue.

Chemical engineering, concentration in research sciences. Thing is, I only have one real prospect for grad school and it might be better to just go work for a petrochemical refinery. Petroleum engineers also make fat stacks.

That was true a few years ago but the saudis are flooding the market with cheap oil to try and collapse the other producers (oil sands, shale etc.). Layoffs are common in the industry.
