For years I hated having to have responsibilities, bullshit jobs, studies, etc etc etc. But now that I achieved the end game of being an otaku hikikomori (because I became sick long term) it's fucking awful. All I do is watch anime, play games and VN's all day.
Every day is exactly the same and I don't enjoy much anymore, anything I do that's remotely productive I lose interest in rapidly and then sick back into depression again.
How can I make my every day life more bearable?
Dude,I had the same problem.However I'm trying everything to improve myself better.In your case vidya isn't fun anymore because you're growing up.Besides that,you should learn guitar or another instrument,that will help you increasing your creativity.Trust me this works
Exercise a bit every day, you might want to start on the creative pursuit first or do them simultaneously. Make games a "treat" once you've done things that are good for you.

It's not fun anymore because he plays them so much now. It has nothing to do with "growing up." Plenty of healthy, functioning adults play games
