They're doing employee appreciation things and there's a bulletin board we've been stapling flowers with messages to. They say things like "Jane- working with you is always a pleasure!"
I wrote one to the lovable asshole we have. He jokes around constantly and is a lot of fun. So I wrote "Jeff- you mean well."
On my flower and put it up. But now I'm having second thoughts. Mine is the only snarky message up there and it sticks out maybe. Is this okay or should I take it down before anyone sees it?
Sorry if this is dumb.

If you are having second thoughts take it down.
Better safe than sorry.
Or add to it - 'You mean well, and you're an overachiever'

He's not an overachiever though. He's mostly an asshole. A crude asshole.
Idk man maybe I'll just take it down
Think he'd love it though desu

I don't get it, are you trying to be accurate and truthful here, or are you trying to pander to the work crowd?
Why say anything about him at all? He's a crude asshole, and this is the appreciation wall..

Is your name in any way associated with this note?
>>16914308
I just think it's funny? But think other people may not see the humor. There's no reason to do this really beyond having some fun. He'll like it I know.

No but they'll all recognize my handwriting.
So I took it down :(
Kinda sad, but I guess it's best not to irritate management. And maybe mean stuff doesn't belong on the yay coworkers flower board.
