So I'm a 17 year old male looking to start going to the gym. I don't want to go with my dad, and I don't have any brothers to go with, so how do I find someone to ask, and ask them if they want to start going to the gym with me?

Ask your friends?
I started going with my friend, and he was a good help. After a while, I started going by myself.

Usually, there are always total douchebags at the gym. Although, there are a lot of nice people that are willing to help you. I'll ask a guy if he could critique my posture while dead lifting. I got my posture down on just about everything just by asking people. I go by myself most of the time, and it's a great feeling.
