I live in New Jersey. Near Philadelphia. I pay $900 a month to live in an apartment. I hate my job and doctors, and smoke weed and browse /b/ in my free time. I have an opportunity to go to Columbus Ohio and get an apartment for $500 a month. I have a job waiting out there if I want it. I'm 26. I hate where I live now. Should I stay in NJ or venture into the unknown and move to a big city?

>Columbus, Ohio
>Big city
hahahaha
It's important to find a job you like but Cumbus is a pretty lame city, man. My brother just got a job up there and I visited him for a week. We couldn't find shit to do. If you just like smoking up and staying inside then it doesn't matter.
I lived in Columbus for 8 years (5 in college, 3 after that).
I'd say that unless you're married, don't go. It's very much a college town imo. Cool if you're moving there to take advantage of the low cost of living and have a family to keep you company and whatnot, but the social scene is largely dominated by the 18-23 year old OSU crowd (it's a really common complaint among pretty much all non-college aged adults in the city). And the weather sucks. The running joke used to be that there are for season in Columbus: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction (you'll see when summer time rolls around).

At least Boston has history. Columbus has, what, a couple of Caine's franchises and Thurman's.
