How does a short manlet living in the middle of nowhere with no money learn to protect himself?
I'm not a weak person. I can run for miles at a time and I can lift but I can't fight. I've never been in a position where I'd need to but I'd feel more confident knowing that I could in the worst case scenario considering I'm short and not intimidating at all.

You have the internet. You can watch YouTube videos, and do other research on different techniques. But honestly the only way to learn how to street fight is experience. You're gonna have to actually get in a fight and learn from it. Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you're cool with everybody they'll generally be cool with you.

I try to be cool with everybody but people are generally fucking mongoloids who want to do nothing but fight. Here's an example, I was on the bus one time and a woman sits next to me and I look at her for a second, all of a sudden, her crazy fucking black husband is all up in my face saying "you got a fucking problem?". I just said "I wasn't meaning any disrespect, sorry" and he was still going fucking nuts. His wife had to calm him down and she apologized to me. I don't know if it was me or if this guy was just crazy or what but I'd rather know how to fight incase I accidentally tip off someone who's even crazier

Given what you've told us about yourself, I recommend jujutsu or another grappling-focused martial art. Being short works to your advantage as a grappler, because it's easier to get your center of gravity under your opponent's.

I don't know Canada's gun laws well but they're less strict than where I am, and I'm allowed to own and hunt with a shotgun. You can go hiking with a rifle in Canada and not be sent to prison for a million years, which is something you can't do here.
Also, just because the law forbids you from owning a gun for the purpose of self-defense doesn't mean you can't learn to use one that way. Or that you shouldn't use it to defend yourself if it's a choice between prison/license revoked and death.

Ignore these faggots. The best martial arts are combat sports where you spar and are forced to actually test yourself on a real resisting opponent. Boxing and judo are probably available within an hour of where you live.

I'm not opposed to a little bit of socialism. What I really don't like is when the state prevents people from having any agency when it comes to protecting themselves and relies on an understaffed, undertrained and overburdened trigger happy police force to hopefully keep them safe maybe if they're lucky
In OP's case, he needs to learn how to fight and how to shoot. Those two things will more than make up for any insecurity he has about his height.
