I'm terribly hungry.
I've been unemployed for some time now, but going to school.
I'm going to school for a bullshit, humanities degree.
I'm considering dropping out to pursue an entry-level tech job.
What knowledge should I acquire before applying at businesses?
I know I should look into servers, routers, switches and basic Linux OS.
Any and all advice is helpful, thanks.

seems like you want to get into IT ? the only IT-related job you'll get without experience, certificates or some IT "degree" is a helpdesk job.

Basically this, but go for
A+, network+, security+, Linux+ certifications before you attempt any entry level job.
Fortunately all those courses are free online, you just have to pay for the exams.
