There are plenty of websites where you can get info if you're interested in trying out BDSM, literally any of them would be better than this shitty book. If you want to read properly done BDSM erotica, read The Boss by Jenny Trout instead, it's actually well written and a lot more informative and realistic.

seconding this, also a common newbie mistake is wanting to have BDSM sex spontaneously, like in the stories. But that's always a bad idea, any kind of scene needs to be planned ahead of time so you both understand eachother's boundaries and have an agreed upon safeword.
