Is wanting friends who are interested in doing stuff other than getting drunk too much to ask for?

Bump. I think it's really annoying when all my friends ever want to do is drink. Sometimes, I wonder if we'd have anything to do without alcohol. It's a sad thought.
Do a sport, sport. Or get involved in a hobby and meet some kindred spirits!

its not that hard. im on accutane so cant drink. my friends and i play board games together. sometimes video games. laser tag. etc.

Get a hobby, and go to events related to it. If you live in a city with more than 100k people in it, there's likely events, if not small ones. You can find groups that play board games, video games, role playing games; groups that discuss literature, music, art; people who collect things, or raise things, or make things. You can find new friends, if you try hard enough, and they probably will be sober. I'm a drinker (and a drug user) and most of my friends are sober.
That said, if you like your friends beyond their drunkeness, be honest with them. You're either going to ditch them anyway, or join them in the end, so you may as well tell them you don't want to drink so much (or at all) but would like to still hang out. If they're decent people, they'll be willing to occasionally socialize without alcohol as a compromise. If they're not, then they aren't worth keeping around.
