Call and explain it to your landlord. Give them what you can, get a receipt, and promise them the rest asap. It'll be cheaper for them than the eviction process, which, if they're a dick, ride the eviction train until you find some place better. He can't just kick you out, he'll need to give you an actual notice filed by the court taped to your door. Don't tell them that though and don't let them in. Call a legal aid program in your state for more info.
