So my friend is really drunk. And entered the password on her phone wrong a LOT of times, and it is now trying to factory reset itself. How do I stop it. I already took the battery out to prevent it from erasing all her data but if I power it back on it starts the reset again.

This is a Samsung galaxy s4

Try holding volume up+volume down and the power button when you start. I think you should be able to tell it just to boot from recovery mode. But I'm not sure. Regardless a factory reset isn't that bad. She loses her application data (mainly have to reinstall apps) but most of her stuff will remain. Photos and such most certainly should. If this is a normal factory reset.
