You put down people's beloved pets as your day to day.

I'm a large animals vet, its hard and can be soul crushing at times, you either gotta be a goddamn socialpath that has no emotions, or love the little/big guys A LOT.

Harder than becoming an human doctor -- there are only 32 vet schools in the US, and something like 182 medical schools.

>>>/an/ might have good answers

They often have "shitty owner" threads where vets/shelter workers share horror stories.

Enlist.
Serve in war zone.
Survive
Come home

Vet.

well, it's extremely competitive for one. if you get any Cs on your transcript you're pretty screwed, you need a shit ton of hours of work in a clinical setting working directly with animals to even have your application considered, and at least one recommendation from a vet. just for perspective, each year the school I was considering gets 500+ applicants. they only accept 50.

funny thing, vets get very little to no education on ethology. you'd have to get a separate degree to become an animal behaviorist, which is my goal. weird how they separate it like that

the job itself may not be harder, but getting into vet school is
