A simple question with no so simple answer.
How does one break an emotional addiction to a person?
I do not have this problem, my boss does and she asked me if I can help her, so I may not have all the answers to possible questions. I rather seek a general advice on the subject, or what to ask her, how to ask her and so on.
Also she refuses to go to therapist.
Is here anyone who broke this addiction? and how did you do it?
She has to see a therapist. This is almost always a self confidence issue.

there is a thing called 'caretaking' in the addictions treatment world
its when a person is addicted to a person with an addiction and wants to take care of them to the detriment of themselves and the person they think they are taking care of
the addiction usually goes like this
- person has an addiction
- a friend wants to take of them
- friend doesn't really want to help this person, they want to keep the status quo and keep the addicted person addicted so that they can keep taking care of them
..
fucked up isnt it?

be careful - you might be falling into the same trap as her
..
short answer - its not your problem - help if asked - protect yourself first - because in the end, how can you help other people if you can't help yourself
