hi guys im needing help to figure out what the best state is to join the military in. if i join in texas i get the texas hazelwood act (along with my gi bill) which gets me 150 free credit hours at any public university here in texas. so is there a state that could top that? im looking specifically at extra educational benefits (to accompany my gi bill), and im doing 4 years active duty in the air force. any help would be appreciated.
yes my heart is set on joining the military (for other reasons too) so dont waste your time to try to convince my otherwise. and most states that ive researched (including texas) dont require you to be a resident but rather just enlist in the state

enlist under a MOS that actually teaches you something that can transition into a civilian job.
they will tempt you with reenlistment. they may threaten with withholding certifications or licensing. it's whatever. have fun with the four years extra.
