montserrat is... I like the concept, but it doesn't sound right. Shorten it to "Serrat"? Might be okay. But she'll get teasing for being named after a volcano.

Montserrat is nice too, but I think unless it's part of your "heritage" and very important to you, I'd steer away from it. In a hard English speaking country you'd be more likely to get people pronouncing the T and (as another anon mentioned) calling her monster rat at school.

I'm sorry OP. I will never understand the desire for a 'unique' name. I can only think "why not name her Cassandra?" Cassandra is a beautiful name. Cassieopoia sounds and looks weird to me. It makes me think of opioids or Dinotopia. It also makes me think of the struggles she will have for her entire life in trying to get people to spell and pronounce her name correctly. Why put that burden on your kid?

Montserrat just sounds kinda weird. You can kiiinda squeeze 'Mon' out of it and pretend it stands for Monique, but bleh.
Also, give your kids interesting names if you must, but I just want to stress, never give them literally unique or made up names. Not in the internet age. Take it from someone who knows. Knowing that every single result of a google search of your name will actually refer to you is not fun.
