I live in a large US city. For every 10 couples about 3 are mixed. Never use to see so much as I see now. Social media/dating sites rather than movie media plays a larger part in my opinion.

The only people who are concerned about this are generally the people who couldn't get ANYONE to date them, let alone a girl of their own race.
That being said, genetically speaking it's healthier to date outside of the genepool, be it outside of your village or outside of your country. Culturally speaking the majority of people will date their own race, just out of a sense of familiarity. But we're programmed to do what we can to avoid inbreeding

In my experience I found it was a non issue when one demographic was dominant (i.e. 90%+ white), but tensions were at an all high in mixed neighborhoods.
