I still live with my parents because my mom tends to watch them on weekends and because my dad loves having grandkids haha I would have my own place by now if it weren't for kids but unfortunately I do still live at home and it can be a real PITA.

and unlike the random woman that OP decides he wants to fuck / actually has a chance of landing, a grandmother is actually invested in a child.
simply having someone for OP to date will not benefit the kids in any way. if hes lucky he'll find a new mom for them, but that doesn't even mean they will like it or see it as anything other than another distraction for the one real parent they have.
they do not need their dad to date. if OP wants to date, that is his call and im not for or against it. but claiming it would be good for the kids is selfish.

Single mom. That's what you need. Seriously. There is not a woman alive who will truly understand your situation like a single mom. Maybe she also lost her spouse in war, or to an accident. Maybe he just up and left. Maybe she left him. Who knows? Doesn't matter. But that single mom will 1) understand your kids come first, just like her kids come before you. 2) will know your fears, insecurities and struggles better than anyone else. 3) will understand the time and stress involved in raising kids, and will be more willing to share that burden with you than a woman who has no kids.
The list could go on as to benefits of dating a single mom. Seriously, give it a shot. Give it two, three or four shots. You have all the time in the world to find a suitable mom for your kids, and partner for yourself. Take your time, vet each candidate carefully, and eventually you'll find the right woman. Don't go looking for them in the wrong places. i.e. college women, women who want the traditional relationship. You'll disappoint them and both parties will waste time.
