Hey /adv/isors

I'm about to finish school this year and i've got some friends i know since im 3 years old who i really love. The problem is after finishing school we most likely study and live in other cities and i guess we will seperate and lose contact which i really really fear as i really have them constantly around in my life...what can i do?
>>
accept

Make an effort to contact them on a regular basis, send cards for holidays, recommend good books youve read recently, invite them to visit you, etc.

I wont accept though

We often play vidya together and talk over skype which i hope will continue. Another problem for me would be: I dont have problems in socialising with others etc but i will miss the total fucked up shit i can simply do with them which others would find inappropriate

"Friendship is a 2-way street". Never forget that if you follow >>16624470's advice, which I think you should do.

Just follow this. If you guys are real friends then don't worry.
I myself talk to the high school friends for almost 5 years. And we are really close and shit.
There will be some time when they will not care that much, but if you overcome this it will be even better.
So just follow the >>16624493 advice

Alright so staying in contact is the key

Yes it is.
Playing online games in skype help a lot.

unfortunately this is what we call 'growing up'. its unfortunate the way the worlds changing. moving used to be on the rarer side of things. you could grow up and spend your entire life in a town with your same friends. then the trend became to leave for school, then come back. now its wherever you get better job offers.

and thats what life has become. you will go off to different colleges, and make new friends, and want to spend time with them on the holidays you dont spend with family, and one day you'll meet up with an old friend again and not know what to say. you'll make plans to hang out again get the old gang back together but your lives no longer line up that way, and even if they did you wouldn't be able to pick up exactly where you left off.

you'll always talk on facebook, and maybe skype and do some online stuff. maybe see each other one day out of the winter holiday. some of them see a bit more over the summers, but less and less as you approach college graduation.

but by then you'll be having this exact same conversation asking us how to stay friends with all your college friends who are going to different cities for jobs.

its life. sorry bud.
