Girlfriend or not?

I'm not sure if I should get a girlfriend.
It feels awkward just talking to somebody casually after confessing your feelings to somebody and you have to know that you have to emotionally and financially.
So my questions are, how do you keep a relationship going for a long time? How do you find more subjects to talk about? Should I shower with gifts or not?(Pic unrelated)

If you are unable to afford gifts then why the fuck would you buy them? Work on bettering yourself if you feel you're not up for a relationship right now, and in this case getting a better job or get better at saving money.
It was just an idea on what I should do. I'm really unsure about what I would do to keep a relationship going and I always wonder how people do it.

Dude, if it's the right person then you'll find things to talk about. Sometimes it's even nice to just say nothing and just enjoy their company.
