consider opening a tumblr. yes i know, the cancer, teh feminism, but thats just a small part of it. there are entire circles that focus on shit like this that can help build your base. no one goes around LOOKING for blogspots anymore, and 99% of the ones that people find are porn ones.

tumblr on the other hand has millions of users looking for scifi, virtual reality, etc. on the daily, and they will see your results everytime you publish.

people arent as big on reading as they used to be.we like visual mediums. now im not saying you should turn your book into a comic series, but you can take your favorite parts, or little parts that would be cool, and draw them as a quick comic strip. even just having cool art work for epic scenes helps. if you cant draw, ask friends. starting a chapter with a comic strip detailing the 'last time' or where you left off, or the first scene can help people immerse themselves fast. at the very least each chapter can have a sort of 'cover art' making people wonder what happens in the story.

another thing to consider is perhaps releasing it ALSO as an audio book. if your voice isnt good this isnt a big deal, you can hire people off of places like the Voice Actors alliance, or look at fandub german communities to do the reading. even get different actors on different episodes so it doesnt take so long. that way even those who like to listen can hear the story too, bigger fanbase. you can even layer music under certain parts, theres even free music resources for this.,

that was a popular story telling website when i was younger it is still around and maybe active, but im sure there are others as well. post your story EVERYWHERE, and then submit your first chapter to amateur contests. evne if you dont win it brings inviewers, thats how i managed to get views on my web novel.

if you know how long the story might be and you know how frequently you want to release (two chapters a month? one a month?) take the time to get ahead first. if its 24 chapters long and you want to release 2 chapters a month, thats one year worth of chapters.

you already have 12, so try and write a few more chapters before you start posting to tumblr and such.

when you post to tumblr, consider removing it from blogspot and just posting it as if its your first time releasing it, so people arent overwhelmed by it.
