Do health insurance companies typically ask about education/education history?
I'm a college flunk-out (with a job though) and I want to potentially get a low-income health insurance plan.
Particularly Covered California, if by off-chance someone browsing this board has them for health insurance
I tried to apply online but I couldnt get passed the first step (they couldnt identify me or something so I have to go in person to an office)

not sure about California but in OK is health status, Smoker/Drinker? and if you have any pre-existing conditions.
Never has the question of educational level even came up.
You mentioned Low income. I hate to say it but have you tried your state's Obamacare site?
