Owler's back, lets have a thread in celebration
Was there any reason as to why she left?
>>680953
I believe she was under loads of emotional stress, family issues, working 2 jobs, etc. She apparently moved to Europe to live with extended family for a while

didnt she have a relationship with some other artist? kyhu/iahfy i believe it was.
>>681971
From my understanding they're just friends
While I love the art, it clearly looks a hell of a lot like Doxy/Onta and Legoman's styles combined.

That's what they all are, not to mention R4 is basically a Doxy-Owler clone
>whut iz original art style
>>684551
>It's an "artist draws the most mainstream characters and a shitty oc" episode

>What is emulating an artist that you like
I'll tell you what it is: a centuries old artistic tradition as well as a proven method.

I don't understand why people get so hung up when an artist draws similarly to other artists, intentionally or not. People act like just because they haven't seen a particular style or method anywhere else, that person must have invented everything about it, with no research or inspiration from other sources. Then you label anyone who resembles their style as "clones", as if their process is lazy or dishonorable. Especially with the internet, anything you may see as "original" is derived in some way from external sources, because A) it's most likely been done before and B) it's one of the most powerful ways to learn.
In R4's case, people gave him shit when he was using Doxy tutorials, and so what? They helped him improve, and it's not like he's tracing pictures then passing them off as original. If his style ends up similar to Doxy's and it's what he chooses to pursue, then let him, and know that Doxy isn't some magical fountain of pure, uninspired material. Everyone learns from someone else, and just because you thought of a technique doesn't mean you were the first. Any competent artist with a background in animation or digital painting (especially cel-shaded or anime style) should already be familiar with the construction, lineart, and rendering techniques any of these porn artists use.

Isn't this old stuff? She's posting art again but I'd hardly say she's back.
>>683858
Oh no, multiple artists are doing this style that a lot of people happen to like. How terrible.
