Let's post 3D-CGI made in a realistic style, ok?
Dumping some favorites by Wikman to begin with

That's good CGI of a sex doll.
Anyone lurking? Should I continue?
Feel free to add similar realistic stuff.
Check out cempion, she's super underrated

We do not have enough of these on /aco/. What sites do you use for yours OP?

You just made me a very happy man. This is the first time I've seen one of my images being re-posted. Thanks for the compliment /Karl Wikman

If that is indeed CGI, I can hardly believe my eyes, and would love to see more from the same artist and to know his name so that I can learn from him.
>>549577
Again, thanks for re-posting my work. Nothing means more to an artist, than to get this kind of recognition.

Water really got a lot better the past few years, but it still has a long way to go until perfection. And it's not just these artists, the high-end video game and movie CG looks just as bad.

These artists get it. Their water looks like shit, so they just keep it our of focus. Pretty smart.
UNCANNY VALLEY INTENSIFIES
>>551716
I find that a lot of the uncanny valley effect in these things isn't as much due to the quality of the models (though obviously that does play a role), but due to how stiff and unnatural most poses are.
A lot of these artists just go with poses that look good at first glance, but they put little to no thought into how the pose would work with people who have bones, muscles, centers of gravity, and all that jazz. It's especially noticeable in animations, but you can see it in stills as well. You can see some of the artists in this thread trying to hide it by making bondage art whish is, up to a certain point, supposed to look forced and awkward, but it's still easy to see who puts in more effort.
Just look at stuff like >>551647 and >>547338. Both go for that typical swayed hip pose, but even if you don't pay any particular attention to the anatomy your brain will still tell you which looks like a more natural and relaxed pose.
It also doesn't help that more than a few 3D artists (especially the bad ones) go for that pumped-up bimbo look, which doesn't exactly help their pictures look more natural.

So, out of curiosity - show us some of your own best work?
I can't wait for CG to make it to the other side of the uncanny valley.

Architectural renders can be made photorealistic enough to fool the eye these days, but as we see here, humans cannot. Or at least, doing so is still so difficult that only a few exceptionally talented artists can.
Maybe what OP meant with "in a realistic style" was images where the artists make an effort to use a Physically Based Render engine, lighting and textures that simulate reality well, and at least try to come as near photorealism as their tools and talent can currently take them?
>>553461
If you have a high-quality model, posing skills and spend enough time on photomanipulation afterwards you can get very close to actual lifelike images. It just takes a lot of time and effort and you need to get it just right, because our brains are ridiculously good at recognising and analysing other humans so even small flaws tend to be noticeable, even if not 100% consciously so. That's why nobody does it unless they're just doing it to show off their skills.
Limit reached, new thread needed
>have high-end rig with expensive cpu/gpu combo
>have expensive 3D software that lets me create literally anything from my imagination
>make the most boring by the numbers smut that anyone with a high school art level skill could recreate on pad and paper
This thread was an utter disappointment. Like everything I see that's 3D, everywhere.
Please don't make another thread.
