Honestly Opala could be all but removed from the plot as far as I care. Farah and Osira are much better, and the whole new cast for Origins takes the biscuit. The Opala series needs more fucking and the player actually being part of said fucking, as in being able to decide position or something. Granted, I've mostly only played 2 and sure, there was fucking but it was only occasionally and for the most part, someone else was doing it.
I recently started on 1, using a guide because fuck you I'm here for the porn, not for the RPG maker gameplay. So far I've found it to be superior to 2. Got to the sex pretty early on with Opala and the prostitute in the city and you could, at least with the prostitute, decide what kind of sex it was gonna be.
I've also understood that you can be evil in 1 and affect the ending, something you, unless I've something, cant do in 2, so another thing in 1s favour.

The big thing that made 1 work was that it was short and to the point. You had a quick save the kingdom or rule it adventure that was filled with sex of various kinds and since it was her first game Im willing to cut her some slack on a lot of the mechanical hiccups.
2 was just so drawn out though. And Gabe can't really write all that well.
