There are so many small examples. There was one where some captured pilot had her clit ripped off be her captor and all she did was go 'owwww'. It's like they want to imply something brutal is happening but don't have the guts to actually show the implications thereof. Other times the assailants are so cruel it doesn't make any sense. Ham-fisted cruelty.

I think there might be a point to that. Y'know the disclaimer page that every dofantasy artist has in each of their comic that has the characters say "yeah we're totally cool with this, we're basically consenting actors". I think that's to make any powers that be that might be against this stuff back because even the characters are in on it.
