I've been downloading anime since the 90s but I've only known them by name in the last year. I've never seen the point in learning about anime studios unless they make original stories or have a strong personal touch, since you never really know what to expect and it just creates false expectations. Looking at Doga Kobo's portfolio it's all over the place in terms of shows I liked, shows I hated and shows I don't give a shit about, so it's not exactly a good predictor.

I try not to drop shows quickly, plus I have a tolerance for trash. Last show I dropped was after 6 episodes. Pet Girl Sakursou or whatever it's called. Everyone seems to like it, but I didn't like the drama/plot development and all the kids felt like such try hards. Just not my kind of show.
