Seriously. Ichigo's bankai sword was known to be near indestructible. With Jugram first breaking the sword after it was weakened and now Yhwach doing the same shit you'd think that he would get a clue and go "screw materialized swords". The only reason I can think of for Kubo to do this is so that Ichigo is not allowed to use his full power until it is time to end the manga. I can only hope that the next time the sword breaks he ends up remaking it into a form that looks better.

Supposed to go this way plus Kubo is tired of it. The manga will be ending within a few weeks of Bleach's 15th anniversary; that's probably intentional.
Kubo is skipping the secondary and tertiary characters' stuff like the various unshown Bankais, but we knew from Ukitake's end that even long established ones aren't safe from being neglected.

It's obvious the manga was stretched out more than kubo intended and it's seemed like he's stopped caring as much a wile ago. It's fanbase is starting to get burned out as well and it's fallen in popularity, so they probably gave kubo the go ahead to end it.

This almost makes the series look as good as the Rescue Rukia arc , but it's skipping over all the asspulls.
Byakuya should've died. Rukia's fight against As Nodt would've meant more if it was fueled by revenge and Rukia didn't need her nii-san to beat As Nodt.
Kira and Lille should've died and their fight didn't need to happen.
Hitsugaya, Matsumoto, Rose and Kensei should've stayed dead.
It's the final arc, I wish Kubo would grow some balls and kill off captains and have them STAY DEAD. Kills the tension when they're always left mortally wounded/dead and are just brought back.

The zombification is still reversible, even if Mayuri didn't get around to it. The issue is if Rose and Kensei actually died or if their deaths came undone like Yachiru's cookie bones when Gremmy stopped focusing on them.
