I went to Trigger's Kill la Kill panel at Anime Midwest a couple days ago. Someone asked if there was ever gonna be a Kill la Kill sequel and they said the team felt that Kill la Kill was done, but since Sushio keeps drawing Kill la Kill stuff there's always a possibility that something could happen.
Also, Sushio is intensely obsessed with Mako. He said that when he sees fanart of her kissing Gamagoori, it hurts him. When they held a cosplay contest, he chose the girl dressed as Mako as the winner. When asked what kind of Trigger-themed game he would want, he said he wanted a game where you could play tag with Mako. He's a genuine waifufag.

That's another thing from the Kill la Kill panel: they said the Elite 4 were originally supposed to all be girls, even though their characters would be pretty much the same. When they thought about a girl Sanageyama sewing her own eyes shut though they thought it didn't feel right, so they didn't go through with it.
Kill la Kill was amazing. Definitely not a perfect show but it was entertaining as hell.

Also, the very first idea for the series back in 2010 was that Mikisugi was supposed to be a sniper that shoots price tags onto people's super-powered clothes, and Ryuuko was a bounty hunter that would go after them to collect the rewards. It was also supposed to be a very serious story with no comedy due to them having just done Panty & Stocking, but that fell apart. They showed off the initial design of Mikisugi and he looked like a Getter Robo character; I'm not sure if that's ever been shown anywhere else. Also, one of Imaishi's original designs for Satsuki's outfit had an eyeball over her vagina and one right between her tits.

Fun KLK fact of the day:
Ami Koshimizu was cast for Ryuuko because she had the reputation of being a delinquent-type girl (her mother was also a delinquent). For the audition she submitted two recordings: one with her speaking in a cutesy, idol-ish voice and one with the rough, intimidating voice that was used for the anime. Her manager was concerned that the delinquent voice would be "too scary" but the casting staff thought it was perfect.
Imaishi and Co. were further convinced that they made the right choice when they found that Koshimizu was very bad with kanji, drew poop when the VA cast all autographed a poster, and ad libbed a few of her lines in the show (like adding "Tch!" in certain moments).
