Shirou is a fucking blockhead that admits that even though he might be wrong he will just do what he think he has to do without actually putting any thought into it.
The true victim here is Rin, because she has to wait until Shirou decides to stop being Archer to start a proper life with him.

Frankly, I think Archer was just trying to throw a temper tantrum. Think about it: If he was serious about killing Shirou, he'd have murdered him on the first day. Just say "Hey Rin, I'm going to scout the place." and blow his enter house up.
But Archer seems to know, on some level, that this isn't going work. All he'll do is to kill *this* world's Shirou.
