All in all, I kinda enjoyed the show, and I do consider the haunted cathouse and the period drama theater episodes to be quite fun and enjoyable.

Can someone explain to me why does /a/ like Kyoani so much? I've watched some of their shows including this one and all I can say is that their anime have pretty colors, above average animation and has a large amounts of fanservice. What I don't get though is why does /a/ keep making this studio their #1 animation studio when all of these qualities are merely superficial and petty because they can be found on literally any other studio. It's like most Kyoanifags are newfags who has only watched less than 100 anime and started watching it because they've watched their first kyoani PVs on youtube.

/a/ as the collective doesn't like KyoAni. A vocal group of posters that gather on /a/ like KyoAni. There are also other vocal group of posters that like Trigger, others like Madhouse, some like Ufotable, others Bones, others like Shaft, and others like Sunrise and so on.
There is an overlap between some of those groups.
In general, pretty-looking anime shows is what people do like, since anime is a visual medium, so if it looks at least good, that would be very nice.
In Kyoto Animation's case, they happen to make very pretty-looking anime shows with cute girls and cute feminine-looking guys.
Liking the works of a studio isn't that bad. Some studios have strengths in certain kinds of works or a perceived quality level. It's only when those fanbases start overdoing their silly fake studiowars that it gets so annoying that they are told to go to the video games board.
What ultimately matters is however not what other people think, it's what you personally like or dislike. Don't take anything too seriously here on /a/.
There are also trolls who like to pretend to be extremely obnoxious fans trying to create an extremely toxic environment to make discussions about shows as frustrating as possible.
Of course, really obnoxious dumb rabid fanboys do exist. But in general, you should have enough maturity to ignore them and enjoy your time on the /a/nime board.
