In conclusion, for me, and from what I see only in the content of the summaries, he seems to be more than anything charismatic, apart from that he doesn't seem to be that into hope.

Yeah that's what I'm getting from all this. Obviously the operation on transforming Hajime to Izuru damaged his spirit immensely to the point where he was pretty much empty. Filled with talents and all but lacking the one thing to go with his title which is hope. That was what Junko preyed on and didn't really have to do much afterwards.

I do like subtle student/mentor dynamic that was going on there. The PSP version reinforced it via gameplay, too. In the original game you could only use the button that highlights all interactive objects in the room after a certain point I'm the story where Kyoko had taught Naegi enough about investigating.
