So I was rewatching the teru teru bozu episode and I had a thought. Were Anne's mom and their teacher classmates? Her mom's comment about being reminded of her own friends upon seeing their uniforms made me look for other points of connection and the teacher recognizes the hairpin as well as the special misfortune, right? I had always taken her reactions to the ultimate bad luck as being token "reaction to THAT" type of stuff, but what if it's actually because she's encountered it before? If Hanakoizumi was taken from the father, that explains why Sensei didn't immediately recognize her.
How does it feel anon, to wake up on a Thursday and not be able to watch a new Anne Happy episode?
