I was group watching this show and it actually became more watch-able when we set it to 1.5 speed. It fixed the pacing and some of the animation, only downside was the chipmunk voices and the music that started sounding like rpg maker menus (but that was just unintentionally funny most of the time.)

In a word: nothing. I never delivered on anything. An utterly uninspiring and insipid "tale", full of forgettable "characters" that are so shallowly formed they're less real than the so-called phantasms that stalked them in the village. A waste of money, time, and a season slot, and not even the music was good. It's been a long time since I could state for the record that an anime was total and absolute shit, but Maiyoga has actually redeemed several of my previous picks for that by forcing me to find things they did better than Maiyoga. A whole new low has been presented to me, it may be years before I sit through a shitshow worse than this.
