I'm skipping this season again mostly, except for original anime like Zestiria and Danganronpa that isn't an adaptation of an LN or a manga.
I found out long ago that marathoning the shows when they finish really increases my enjoyment of them because I'm not getting spoiled or let other influence my opinion of them. Usually when I try watching stuff as it airs I lose interest waiting for one episode per week and put shows on hold.

I'm aware, I just consider it a genre because it has such a distinct style to it.
Mostly that I'm a sucker for cheesy romance but everyone written for men all tends to be haremshit with a god awful MC that I want to kill through the screen.
In Shoujo the girls are cuter, the jokes are funnier, and the guys are actually pretty chill (you know, since they're written for women it wouldn't do to make a pathetic faggot who can't hold a conversation to save his life).
There's also a distinct lack of fanservice thank god so the director can't use it as a crutch for his shit writing ever 2 minutes
This season was front-loaded with homoshit.
The rest of the things actually worth watching are coming over the next ~10 days.
Granted there are less of them than most seasons,and AOTS already aired everything on one day.

I can barely even manage that much anymore and I used to have no problem finding a good 4 or so shows to watch a season even a few years ago. Try maybe 1-2 shows per year since about 2014. The hilarious part is it's arguably making more money than ever before, just that's it's being made by event ticketing and gacha scamming the fuck out of whales who by 100's of the same product hoping to get some ticket to see some idol group or something.

It's going to get a whole lot worse in 2017 going by what's been announced so far making it look like the industry will somehow find a way to make even more generic safe genre shows or sequels to the same old franchises that I don't give a shit about. I'm still managing to find a few anime things to watch even in this so far dreadful 2016 but there's a significantly good chance that 2017 is the year to really just say fuck it all and just completely skip out on. At this rate I've kind of just resigned myself to 2016 being the last year I kind of sort of manage to barely still care about anything happening in the anime scene. It'd be nice to see the industry get it's shit together afterward and remember how to tell a proper compelling story with a show god forbid, but considering what it has going on right now is somehow a valid profitable business model I don't see that happening.
