The final episode was lacklustre
It was paced like a usual 48 episode Key adaptation until the last few episodes.
And it was never even that good. The characters suck.
It didn't even push the medium of animation further like Angel Beats did. It looked like standard P.A. Works animation.
Literally the only good bit was edgelord Yuu almost becoming a heroine addict.

Yuu didn't stay on the darkside.
Was bad the whole way through. Then the MC decided to pull a Shinji and went "no I won't fight to save myself or my friends, boohoo life sucks and is unfair" at which point the show became insufferably bad.
The only good episode of Charlotte.
