But to this day, there is no proof of that. The "original" LN volume seems to not even exist. You would think something like that would have been scanned by now, especially since this series even got an anime a while back. So I think that story about the retcon is bullshit.

In the original light novel, Cecily was raped. Then many fans posted hate and abused the author in her blog so much that she was forced to change it to Siegfried being an enuch. The second edition onward were changed to reflect that. The manga obviously followed the second edition.
Yeah, rabid fanboy power can do that. Fans were furious that their pure heroine was defiled and no longer a virgin, and the author was shocked at the intense amount of rage and abuse she received for that development. If you think about it, Cecily later shows signs of trauma that only came about from being a rape victim - throwing up, etc. That's because she was raped in the original storyline. But thanks to fans, they had to change that single part and...yeah, we have what we have now.
