Tales of Zestiria features a male lead, Sorey, and his male best friend, Mikleo, who are strongly implied to be in love with each other. As the other anon mentioned, get the PC version if you're going to try it. It has a mod that allows it to run at 60, unlike the other versions, and looks better in general if you aren't using a toaster.
With Symphonia you might be better off emulating unless they finally got around to fixing the myriad issues with the PC version.

Warning about the mod. When you get to the second city, the one with all the bells, uninstall it for a little bit (just until the first time you have to leave the city for a quest).
There's a bug where it causes a priest to get stuck climbing some stairs during pseudo cutscene, locking you out of doing anything other than forcing the game to quit.
That's the only bug I'm aware of though, other than people's capes whooshing forwards too much sometimes.
