Why did Tokyo 2040 have to be such garbage? They had the opportunity to take Bubblegum Crisis, extend out the plot to a full 2 cour series, do more with everything and actually develop the characters, but what the hell?
The whole '80s cyperpunk aesthetic got blown out for this sterile, tryhard nonsense the the characters are so dull the dub is actually an improvement by giving them something of a personality.
