Does puck have a purpose past the conviction arc?
Early on he was a light hearted foil to guts being broody and miserable. now that berserk has become a less Dark D&D story , there's no need for him is there?

No, there was a good mix where Puck actually had a personality outside of being comic relief, now he's literally just comic relief.
